Act Act further to amend the Registration Act, 1977 and to provide for the validation of certain transfers of property. Be it enacted by the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Registration (Amendment and Validation of Transfers of Property) Act, 1955.

4. Validation of certain transfers of property.-Notwithstanding anything contained in the Transfer of Property Act, 1977, the Registration Act, 1977, or any other law for the time being in force, a mortgage purporting to have been effected by an instrument executed prior to commencement of the Registration (Amendment and Validation) Act, 1955 for the purpose of securing a loan from the Government under Cabinet Order No. 1547-C of 1953 dated
