further to amend the Bengal, Agra and Assam Civil Courts Act, 1887 in its application to the State of Assam.
Preamble Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Bengal, Central Agra and Assam Civil Courts Act, 1887, hereinafter A c t I z o f called the principal Act, in its application to the State I8 87‘ of Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
I t is hereby enacted in the Eighteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Short title, 1- (0 This Act may be called the Bengal, Agra and extent and Assam Civil Courts (Assam Amendment) Act, 1967. commence- m e o t‘ (2) It extends to the State of Assam.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint.
Amendment 2. For the words “Subordinate Judge” occurring of Centra]3 *n ’t e m No. (3) of section 3 of the princi| al Act and Act 12 of wherever they occur in the Act or in anv other Act, 1887. the words “Assistant District Judge” shall be
substituted.
