An Act Further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Advocate Welfare Fund Act, 1974 in its application to Uttaranchal
Be it Enacted by the State Assembly of Uttaranchal in the Fifty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and Extent
1. Short title and Extent.- (1) This Act may be called the Uttaranchal (The Uttar Pradesh Advocate Welfare Fund Act, 1974) (Amendment) Act, 2005.
(2) It shall extends to the whole of Uttaranchal.
Section 2. Amendment of Section 9 of Principal Act No. 6 of 1974
2. Amendment of Section 9 of Principal Act No. 6 of 1974.- In section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Advocate Welfare Fund Act, 1974 (hereinafter referred to as principal Act);-
(a) in sub-section (1) for the words "five rupees" the words "ten rupees" shall be substituted;
(b) after sub-section (4), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:-
"(5) where in any case the welfare stamp referred to in sub-section (1) is not affixed on the Vakalatnama or is not filed by any advocate, the court shall not permit such advocate for further proceeding in that case."
