Tamil Nadu Payment of Salaries (Amendment) Act, 2006*

An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Payment of Salaries Act, 1951

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Payment of Salaries (Amendment) Act, 2006.

(2) It shall he deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2005.

Section 2. Amendment of section 12-B

2. Amendment of section 12-B.- In section 12-B of the Tamil Nadu Payment of Salaries Act, 1951, in sub-section (2-C), for the expression "rupees two thousand and five hundred per mensem", the expression "rupees three thousand per mensem" shall be substituted.

SECTIONS
