An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Second Amendment) Act, 2007.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Section 2. Amendment of section 41
2. Amendment of section 41.- In section 41 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, in sub-section (1), for the expression "disqualified under sections 33, 35, 37, 38 and 40", the expression "disqualified under section 33 or section 35 or sub-section (1), (2) Or (3) of section 37 or section 38 or section 40" shall be substituted.
