Preamble

Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax (Amendment) Act, 1993*

[Tamil Nadu Act No. 22 of 1993][27th May, 1993]

An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax Act, 1939.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

* Received the assent of the Governor on the 27th May, 1993 and published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary.

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax (Amendment) Act, 1993.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th day of December, 1992.

Section 2. Amendment of Schedule II

2. Amendment of Schedule II.- In Schedule II to the Tamil Nadu Entertainment Tax Act, 1939, under the heading "Dharmapuri district", after item 14, the following item shall be added, namely:-

"15. Mathigiri."
