Sikkim Municipalises (Amendment) Act, 2004*

An Act further to amend the Sikkim Muncipilities Act, 1995.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Fifty-fifth Year of the Republic of India.

Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Muncipalties (Amendment) Act, 2004.

(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

Section 2. Amendment of Section 7

2. Amendment of Section 7.- In the Sikkim Municipalties Act, 1995, in section 7, in clause (a), for the ‘twenty one’ ??? words ‘three’, the words ‘seven’ and for the words ‘nine’ the words respectively be substituted.
