Madhya Pradesh Karadhan (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2009*
An Act further to amend the Madhya Pradesh Karadhan Adhiniyam, 1982.
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Sixtieth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Karadhan (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2009.
Section 2. Amendment of section 7
2. Amendment of section 7.- In Section 7 of the Madhya Pradesh Karadhan Adhiniyam, 1982 (No. 15 of 1982), sub-section (1) shall be renumbered as clause (a) thereof and after clause (a) as so renumbered, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
"(b) Save as otherwise provided in clause (a), there shall be levied and collected a forest development cess on every sale or supply of timber log by the Forest Department at the rate of five per cent of the price at which such timber log is sold or supplied and carried out of the State.".
