An Act to extend the Indian Easements Act, 1882, to the State of Punjab.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Twelfth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

An Act to extend the Indian Easements Act, 1882, to the State of Punjab.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Twelfth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Indian Easements (Punjab Extension) Act, 1961.

Section 2. Extension of the Indian Easements Act, 1882 to the State of Punjab

2. Extension of the Indian Easements Act, 1882 to the State of Punjab.- The Indian Easements Act, 1882, is hereby extended to 1[the territories specified in sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966].

Section 3. Repeal

3. Repeal.- The Patiala Easements Act, 2002 B.K. (Pepsu Act No. XVI of 2002 BK) is hereby repealed:

Provided that anything done or any action taken under the Act hereby repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of the Indian Easements Act, 1882.
