An Act further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986 (Act No. 4 of 1987).

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Fifty-first year of the Republic of India, as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry (Amendment) Act, 2000.

Section 2. Amendment of the Preamble

2. Amendment of the Preamble.- In the preamble of the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘principal Act’), for the words "Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya", the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Krishi Vishvavidyalaya" shall be substituted.

Section 3. Amendment of sections 2, 11, 12, 14, 19, 35, and 51

3. Amendment of sections 2, 11, 12, 14, 19, 35, and 51.- In sections 2, 11, 12, 14, 19, 35, and 51 of the principal Act, for the words "Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya", wherever these occur, the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Krishi Vishvavidyalaya" shall be substituted.
