An Act further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Motor Spirit (Taxation of Sales) Act, 1968 (Act No. 10 of 1968).

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Thirty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Motor Spirit (Taxation of Sales) (Amendment) Act, 1985.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

Section 2. Amendment of section 3

2. Amendment of section 3.- For the existing words "three and a half paise in a rupee" occurring in sub-section (I) of section 3 of the Himachal Pradesh Motor Spirit (Taxation of Sales) Act, 1968 (10 of 1968) the words "five paise in a rupee" shall be substituted.
