An Act further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker's and Deputy Speaker's Salaries Act, 1971 (Act No. 4 of 1971).
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker's and Deputy Speaker's Salaries (Amendment) Act, 1989.
Section 2. Amendment of section 10-A
2. Amendment of section 10-A.- For the existing second proviso to section 10-A of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker's and Deputy Speaker's Salaries Act, 1971 (4 of 1971), the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:-
"Provided that journey may also be performed within India by air by the Speaker, or as the case may be by the Deputy Speaker, and his spouse or any other person accompanying him to look after and assist him and in that event an amount equivalent to the expenses incurred on such journey shall be reimbursed to the Speaker, or as the case may be to the Deputy Speaker, and the amount so reimbursed shall be adjusted against his entitlement to travel by rail;".
