An Act further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (Allowances and Pension of Members) Act, 1971 (Act No. 8 of 1970).

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Thirty-third Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (Allowances and Pension of Members) (Second Amendment) Act, 1982.

(2) It shall and shall always be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 19th day or May, 1982.

Section 2. Amendment of section 3

2. Amendment of section 3.- For the words "from the date on which he takes his oath" occurring in sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Himichal pradesh Legislative Assembly (Allowances and pension of Members) Act, 1971 (8 of 1971) the words "from the date on which he is declared duly elected under the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) or if such decoration is made before the vacancy occurs, from the date of occurrence of vacancy" shall be substituted.
