An Act further to amend the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Haryana Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2005.
Section 2. Amendment of section 4 of Haryana Act 16 of 1994
2. Amendment of section 4 of Haryana Act 16 of 1994.- In sub-section (3) of section 4 of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 (hereinafter called the principal Act),-
(a) the following clause shall be added, namely:-
"(i) not more than three persons having special knowledge or experience in municipal administration;";
(b) before the existing proviso, the following proviso shall be added, namely:-
"Provided that the persons referred to in clause (i) above shall not have the right to vote in the meetings of the Corporation;";
(c) in the existing proviso, for the words "Provided that", the words "Provided further that" shall be substituted.
Section 3. Amendment to Haryana Third Schedule to Haryana Act 16 of 1994
3. Amendment to Haryana Third Schedule to Haryana Act 16 of 1994.- In the Third Schedule appended to the principal Act in the Table, under columns 1, 2, 3 and 4, for the words, figures, signs and brackets.
