Preamble

Gujarat State Guarantees (Amendment) Act, 1989*

[Gujarat Act No. 6 of 1989][4th March, 1989]

An Act further to amend the Gujarat State Guarantees Act, 1963.

It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Gujarat State Guarantees (Amendment) Act, 1989.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 2nd December, 1988.

Section 2. Amendment of section 2 of Guj. XXII of 1963

2. Amendment of section 2 of Guj. XXII of 1963.- In the Gujarat State Guarantees Act, 1963 (Guj. XXII of 1963.), in section 2, in sub-section (1), for the letters and figures "Rs. 35,00,00,00,000", the letters and figures "Rs. 45,00,00,00,000" shall be substituted.

Section 3. Repeal

3. Repeal.- The Gujarat State Guarantees (Amendment) Ordinance, 1988 (Guj. Ord. ??? of 1988.) is hereby repealed.
