An Act to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, in its application to the State of Haryana.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Thirty-sixth year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Code of Criminal Procedure (Haryana Amendment) Act, 1985.

Section 2. Amendment of Section 24 of Central Act, 2 of 1974

2. Amendment of Section 24 of Central Act, 2 of 1974.- To sub-section (6) of section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the following explanation shall be added, namely:-

"Explanation:- For the purpose of sub-section (6), the persons constituting the Haryana State prosecution Legal service (Group B), shall be deemed to be a regular cadre of pro eluting officers."
