Andhra Pradesh University Acts (Amendment) Act, 1993*

An Act further to amend the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Act, 1972, the B.R. Ambedkar Open University Act, 1982, Sri Padmavathi Manila Viswavidyalayam Act, 1983, the Telugu University Act, 1985 and the Andhra Pradesh Universities Act, 1991.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Forty fourth year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh University Acts (Amendment) Act, 1993.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 28th May, 1993.
Section 2. Amendment of Act 16 of 1972
2. Amendment of Act 16 of 1972.- In the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Act, 1972, in section 11, in sub-section (9) for the words "six weeks" the words "three months" shall substituted.
Section 3. Amendment of Act 11 of 1982
3. Amendment of Act 11 of 1982.- In the B.R. Ambedkar Open University Act, 1982, in the Schedule, in Statute 2, in clause (3), for the words "six weeks", the words "three months" shall be substituted.
Section 4. Amendment of Act 16 of 1983
4. Amendment of Act 16 of 1983.- In Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam Act, 1983, in the Schedule, in Statute 2, in the clause (3), for the words "six weeks" the words "three months" shall be substituted.
Section 5. Amendment of Act 27 of 1985
5. Amendment of Act 27 of 1985.- In the Telugu University Act, 1985, in the Schedule, in Statute 4, in clause (3), for the words "six weeks", the words "three months" shall be substituted.
Section 6. Amendment of Act 4 of 1991
6. Amendment of Act 4 of 1991.- In the Aadhra Pradesh Universities Act, 1991, in section 18, in sub-section (3) for the words "six weeks", the words "three months" shall be substituted.
Section 7. Repeal of Ordinance 1 of 1993
7. Repeal of Ordinance 1 of 1993.- The Andhra Pradesh University Acts (Amendment) Ordinance, 1993 is hereby repealed.
