Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Amendment) Act, 1997*

An Act further to amend the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Forty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Amendment) Act, 1997.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 30th January, 1996.

Section 2. Amendment of section 14

2. Amendment of section 14.- In the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Act 13 of 1994), in section 14, in sub-section (10), in the second proviso, for the words "the Government", the words "the State Election Commission" shall be substituted.

SECTIONS
