Andhra Pradesh Mutually Aided Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 1998*

An Act further to Amend the Andhra Pradesh Mutually Aided Co-operative Societies Act, 1995.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Mutually Aided Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 1998.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, appoint.
Section 2. Insertion of new section 36A
2. Insertion of new section 36A.- After section 36 of the Andhra Pradesh Mutually Aided Co-operative Societies Act, 1995, the following section shall be inserted, namely:-
36-A. "Application of Chapter XIIIA of the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1964.- The provisions of Chapter XIII A containing sections 115-A and 115-B of the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1964 (Act 30 of 1995) shall mutatis, mutandis apply to all Co-operative Banks.
Explanation:- For the purposes of this section a "Co-operative Bank means a society registered under this Act, which is doing the business of Banking as defined in clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (Central Act 10 of 1949)."
