An Act to amend the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats and Panchayat Samithis and Zilla Parishads (Amendment) Act, 1985.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Thirty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats and Panchayat Samithis and Zilla Parishads (Amendment) Amending Act, 1986.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 31st December, 1985.

Section 2. Amendment of section 2

2. Amendment of section 2.- In the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats and Panchayat Samithis and Zilla Parishads (Amendment) Act, 1985, in section 2, in the proviso, for the expression "31st December, 1985" (Act 12 of 1985), the expression "31st July, 1986" shall be substituted.

Section 3. Repeal of Ordinance 20 of 1985

3. Repeal of Ordinance 20 of 1985.- The Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats and Panchayat Samithis and Zilla Parishads (Amendment) Amending Ordinance, 1985 is hereby repealed.
