An Act Further to amend the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Spinning Mills (Regulation) Act, 1983.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
Under the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Spinning Mills (Regulation) Act, 1983 (Act 15 of 1983), the Government are empowered to appoint a Special Officer or a Committee to manage the affairs of the federation and the mills specified in the Scheduled to the said Act.
After the commencement of the said Act, certain new mills were started one such being the chilakaluripeta Cotton Growers Spinning Mills in Guntur District registered in January, 1988, since such mills have been established after the commencement of the said 1983 Act, they are not covered by the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Spinning Mills (Regulation) Act, 1983. In order to maintain uniformity in regulating the working of all the Mills, it has been decided to amend the schedule appended to the 1983 Act by way of inclusion of the Chilakaluripeta Cotton Growers' Co-operative Spinning Mills Limited as item 19 to the Schedule.
The Bill seeks to give effect to the above decision.
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Spinning Mills (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2001.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, appoint.
Section 2. Amendment to the Schedule
2. Amendment to the Schedule.- In the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Spinning Hills (Regulation) Act, 1983 (Act 15 of 1983) in the Schedule, after item 16, the following item-shall be added, namely:-
"19. The Chilakaluripeta Cotton Growers Co-operative Spinning Mills Limited, Chilakaluripeta."
