BIHAR MOTOR VEHICLE TAXATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2019
AN
ACT
TO AMEND IN SECTION 2 (D) AND SECTION-7(1) OF BIHAR MOTOR
VEHICLE TAXATION ACT, 1994 (BIHAR ACT 8, 1994).
Be it enacted by the legislature of The State of Bihar in the Seventieth year of the Republic of India as follows :-
1. Short title, extent and commencement.-—
(1) These Act may be called the Bihar Motor Vehicle Taxation (Amendment) Act.
2019.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.
(3) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Bihar official Gazette.
2. Amendment in section 2 of the said Act, 1994-
(i) Sub section (d) of Section 2 of Bihar Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, 1994 (Bihar Act 8, 1994) shall be substituted by following :-
"(d) "One Time Tax" means Tax for Personalized Vehicles as imposed under section 7 of this Act, which will be effective for 15 years and which shall be calculated from the date of first registration of the motor vehicle.

(ii) The words "For life time" used in sub section (1) of section 7 of Bihar Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, 1994 (Bihar Act 8, 1994) shall be substituted by the words and figures "For 15 years from the date of first registration of the motor vehicle".
