Preamblt", WHEREAS it is expedient to amend further the Assam Assam Act Opium Prohibition Act, 194 7, her~inafter called the XXIII of "Principal Act" in the manner hereinafter appearing ;

it is hereby enacted as follows:-
Short title, 1. t1) This Act may be called the Assam Opium exrent Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 1952. and CQm- ( 2) It shall have the like extent as the Principal mencement. Act. "
(3) It shall come into force at once. Amendment 2. In sub-section (7) of Section 11 of the Principal Act , of section after the words "For the purpose of this Section" the
