THE MIZORAM SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES OF THE SPEAKER AND THE DEPUTY
SPEAKER (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1992.
NO. 1 of 1992
Promulgated by the Governor on the Forty-Third year of the Republic of India.

ORDINANCE
Further to amend the salaries and allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Mizoram."
Whereas Assembly is not in session and the Governor is satisfied that circum- stances exist which render it neccesary for him to take immediate action; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (1) of Ar- ticle 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to pro- mulgate the following Ordinance, Namely: -
1. (1) This Ordinance may be called the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker (Amendment) Ordinance, 1992.
2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Vol XXI Aizawl, Monday 31.1.1992 Magha 11. S.E. 1913 Issue No. 10(A)

Short title and commencement

Amendment of section 2
2. In the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker Act, 1987 (Act No. 6) of 1987) (herein-after referred to as the Principal Act, in section 2, for clause (c) the following clause shall be substituted as follows, namely : -
(c) "family" in relation to a Speaker a Deputy Speaker means
(i) his wife or her husband as the case may be
(ii) the children, step-children, and widowed daugters wholly dependent on such Speaker or Deputy Speaker ; and
(iii) the parents minor brothers, sisters and widowes sisters wholly dependent on such Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
3. In the principal Act, sections 11 and 12 shall be deleted Sd/- Swaraj Kaushal,
