It is hereby enacted · in the Twenty- eighth year of the Repu.blic of India as follows :-
1. (1) This Act may be called the · Assam Contingency .Fund (Amendment) Act, 1977.
(2) It shall come into force at once and shall remain valid upto 31st March, 1978.

2. In the principal Act, in Section 3, following proviso shall be added :-
1950.
"Provided that during the period of ~ operation· of the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1977, a further sum of five crores of rupees shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of · Assarri into the Contingency Fund.''

(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, -- anything done or any action . taken under the Ordinance so repealed shall be deem- ~d to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act had commenced on the 29th day of September, i977.
