Act

to amend the Rules for the Administration of Justice in the North Cachar Hills District of the State of Assam. Preamble. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Rules for the Administration of Justice in the North Cach ar Hills District of the State of Assam, hereinafte r called the "Said Rules", in the manner here inaf ter appearing;

It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-ninth ye ar of the Repu blic of India as follo ws :—

short title, l. (l) This Act may be calle d the Assam comment. Crim inal La w (Amendment) Act, 1978. mea t * (2) It shal l extend to the North Cach ar Hills District of the State of Assam.

(3) It shal l come into force at once.*

Deletion of 2. Rule 25A of the said Rules shall be ®-uIe/ 5A ®f

" 'o f coming into force of this Act shall stand trans- ferr ed to the Court of the Dep uty Commissioner or his Assistant, as the case may be, and the Court before which such criminal cases or pro- ceedings are pending shall tran sfer all rele vant and connected papers and records to the Deputy Commissioner, North Cach ar Hills District or his Assistant, as the case may be, and thereupon the Dep uty Commissioner, North Cachar Hills District or his Assistant, as the case may be, shall dispose of the crim inal cases or proceedings under the Administration of Just ice Rules in the North Cachar Hills Dis tric t" .
