fu rt her to amend the Ass am State Leg isla ture Members ( Removal o f Disqualif ications) Act, 1950
Preamb le. Whereas it is expedien t lo amend the Assam Sta te Legislatu re Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Ac t, 1950, h ere ina fter called the “ Principa l Act ,” in the manne r hereinafte r appearing ;
It is hereby enacted as fo llows;—
Short t itl e, 1, (1) This Act may be called the Assam State extent and Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualifications) mentl1CnCe" (Amendment) Act, 1952.
(2) It shall have the like e xten t as the prin cipal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once.

Inse rtion oi 2. In the Schedule to the p rinc ipa l Act, afte r item 6, new i tems in the following items shall be inserted , namely :— the Schedule to the Prin - Th e office of Chairm an, Vice-Chairm an or
members of any Committee, Board or author ity app ointed by the Governm ent of India or the Governm ent of any Sta te specified in the First Schedule to the cons titut ion of Ind ia.
8. Any office under the Government which is not a whole time office remune rate d eith er by salary or fees.
9. The office o f tne Chief Executive Mem ber and the other Executive Members of a Distri ct Counc il in an Autonomous Dist rictr and of the mem bers nom inated to such a Dis trict Council by the Gover nor.”
