Whereas it is expedien t furth~r to amend tht: Assam Taxation (Liquidation of Arrear Dues) Ad, 2005. hereinafter refend to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-eighth Year of Ri;publ ic oflndia as follows:-

I. (l) This Act may be called the Assam Taxation (l.1quidation of Arrear Dues)( Amendment) Act, 2007.

(2) [t shall have the like extent as the prinr.:ipal Act. ( 3) It shal I come into force at onct.

2. In the principal Act, in section L in sub-section (3 ), for the word, figures and punctuation mark · ,' "10th .fun~. 200Ci". the word, figures and punctuation mark. ·: ''31" March. 2008 .. shall lw substi tuted.
