I t is hereby enacted in th e Fourt eenth year of ' > - the Republic of India as fo llo ws :—
S h o r t t i t le I. (i ) This Act may be called the Assam Amuse- , wtceme nume;lts and Bettin
S Tax (Am endment) Act , 1963.
(2) It shall come into force a t once.
2. After sub-section (2) of Section 8 of the pr inc i- pal Act, the following shall be inse rted as sub- section (3), namely :—
" (3) Notwi ths tan ding any thing con tain ed in the Act, the Sta te Governmen t may, by general o r specia l ord er and subject to such cond itions as may be specified in the orde r, exempt any class of persons from the liabi lity to the entertain ment tax u nder this Act for admission to any en ter - tainm ent or class of enter tainm ent s."
