NOTIFICATION
The 4th February 2005 No.1874-4-Fy.M-16/2000 (Pt.)/FARD—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of
the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Act,1982 (Orissa Act 10 of 1982), the State Government do
hereby make the following rules further to amend the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Rules,
1983, namely :–
1- (1) These rules may be called the “Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment)
Rules, 2005”.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Orissa Gazette.
2- In the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Rules, 1983, (hereinafter referred to as the said
rules) , in rule 2, after clause (c), the following clause shall be inserted, namely :–
“(cc) "fishing gear" means the equipment or implement, excluding boat, to capture fishes or
aquatic animals irrespective of the materials employed for fabrication;”.
3- In the said rules, in rule 24, for the words ‘Additional Director of Fisheries’, the words
‘Director of Fisheries’ shall be substituted.
4- In the said rules, in Form VI, for the district Cuttack appearing in Column-(1) and the entries
made against it, the following shall be substituted, namely :–
“Jagatsinghpur Paradeep Jagatsinghpur district from Hansua
river mouth southwards till
Harishpurgarh (North Devi river
mouth)
450 10 (OS)
40 (DS)”
