An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Panchayats, and Panchayat Union Councils (Appointment of Special Officers) Act, 1991

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

* Received the assent of the Governor on the 29th September, 1991 and published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary.

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat Union Councils (Appointment of Special Officers) Second Amendment Act, 1991.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

Section 2. Amendment of section 3

2. Amendment of section 3.- In clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat Union Councils (Appointment of Special Officers) Act, 1991 (Tamil Nadu Act 15 of 1991), for the expression "30th day of September, 1991", the expression "31st day of March, 1992" shall be substituted.
