An Act to amend the Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, 1970, in its application to the State of Haryana.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Forty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities (Haryana Amendment) Act, 1991.

Section 2. Amendment of certain sections of Central Act 16 of 1970

2. Amendment of certain sections of Central Act 16 of 1970.- In the Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, 1970 (hereinafter called the principal Act), for the words "the Haryana Agricultural University" wherever occurring, the words "Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University" shall be substituted.

Section 3. Amendment of section 13 of Central Act 16 of 1970

3. Amendment of section 13 of Central Act 16 of 1970.- In sub-section (2) of Section 13 of the principal Act,-

(i) in sub-clause (iv) of clause (d), for the sign "." the sign ";" shall be substituted; and

(ii) after clause (d), the following clause shall be added, namely.-

"(e) one nominee of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research."
