An Act further to amend the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Haryana Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Act, 2006.
Section 2. Amendment of section 11 of Haryana Act 11 of 1994
2. Amendment of section 11 of Haryana Act 11 of 1994.- For sub-section (1) of section 11 at the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (hereinafter called the principal Act), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-
"(1) Every Gram Sabha shall hold minimum three general meetings each year at such date, time and venue, as may be fixed by Block Development and Panchayat Officer concerned."
Section 3. Amendment of section 175 of Haryana Act 11 of 1994
3. Amendment of section 175 of Haryana Act 11 of 1994.- Clause (q) of section 175 of the principal Act, and proviso thereunder shall be omitted not shall be deemed to have been omitted with effect from ??? January, 2005, except in situations where the re-elections after removal have been held.
Section 4. Repeal and saving
4. Repeal and saving.- (1) The Haryana Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Ordinance, 2006 (Haryana Ordinance No. 3 of 2006), is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken ??? the sold Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act.
