(1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand Urban and Country Planning and Development Act, 1973 to the context of the State of Uttarakhand.3 (2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh, excluding Cantonment areas and lands owned, requisitioned or taken on lease by the Central Government for the purpose of defence.
