An Act to amend the Government Savings Banks Act, 1873

Whereas it is expedient to amend the Government Savings Banks Act, 5 of 1873; It is hereby enacted as follows:

Section 1. Short title

This Act may be called the Government Savings Banks (Amendment) Act, 1917.

Section 2. Amendment of Sections 4 and 8, Act 5 of 1873

In Section 4 and Section 8 of the Government Savings Banks Act, 1873, for the words one thousand-rupees the words three thousand rupees shall be substituted.
