WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Maharashtra
Water Conservation Corporation Act, 2000, for the purposes hereinafter appearing ; it is hereby enacted in the Sixty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :—
1. This Act may be called the Maharashtra Water Conservation Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2016.

2. In section 25 of the Maharashtra Water Conservation Corporation Act, 2000, in sub-section (1),—
(a) for the words, letters and figures "sum of Rs.2000 crore" the words, letters and figures "sum of Rs. 10,000 crore" shall be substituted;
(b) for the words "period of five years" the words "period of twenty- five years" shall be substituted.
