Elections — Nomination petitions — Binding sheets together — Words and phrases — Bound — Local option referendums — Election Code.

In a proceeding involving the validity of petitions for referenda on questions of local option, in which it appeared that the petitions, each consisting of several sheets, had been folded twice and presented for filing in an envelope, and that the state Bureau of Elections and the various county commissioners had for years been receiving and filing nominating petitions not fastened together by any form of mechanical device, it was Held that the petitions were properly "bound" within the meaning of § 909 of the Election Code of June 3, 1937, P. L. 1333, which provides, in part, that where a nomination petition is on more than one sheet the sheets shall be bound together when offered for filing.

PER CURIAM, January 5, 1948:

The decree is affirmed on the opinion of Judge McWHERTER of the court below; costs to be paid by the appellant.
