PEOPLE v. ABDELGHANY
Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York, Second Department.
Jan 31, 2005
Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.
Showup procedures are permissible when, as here, they are conducted in close spatial and temporal proximity to the commission of a crime for the purpose of securing a prompt and reliable identification ( see People v. Duuvon, 77 NY2d 541; People v. Pierre, 2 AD3d 461). The defendant's contention that the showup identification was unduly suggestive is without merit ( see People v. Pierre, supra; People v. Stepney, 278 AD2d 260).
