PEOPLE v. FREEMAN, 09PDJ086 (Colo.O.P.D.J. 10-6-2009)
Office of the Presiding Disciplinary Judge of the Supreme Court of Colorado.
Oct 6, 2009
Attorney Regulation.
The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and publicly censured Michael John Freeman (Attorney Registration No. 35347) effective October 6, 2009. On February 25, 2009, the California Supreme Court publicly censured Respondent, a member of the District Attorney's Gang Protection team, after he failed to produce statements of a defendant in a homicide proceeding pursuant to the California Penal Code. His misconduct therefore constituted grounds for the imposition of reciprocal discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.21(d).
