Prayer in W.P.No.39359 of 2026:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of declaration declaring the impugned G.O. Ms. 76 dated 01-09-2026 issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PW), Government of Puducherry, including Clause No. 12 and 13, as unconstitutional as it takes away the fundamental rights of the petitioners guaranteed under Article 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and also ultra-virus, illegal, unlawful, arbitrary, unreasonable and it amounts to colourable exercise of power, in so far as non-inclusion of the Ataya-Patay game as recognized game for availing 5percent Horizontal Reservation in the Direct Recruitment for the selection in various Group C posts in Government Departments functioning in the Union Territory of Puducherry, including quasi- Governmental organizations, autonomous bodies, local authorities, corporations, or societies owned or controlled by the Government of Puducherry, under Sports Quota and consequently direct the respondents to issue afresh GO by incorporating the game of Ataya-Patay as recognized game for availing 5 percent Horizontal Reservation in the Direct Recruitment for the selection in various Group C posts in Government Departments functioning in the Union Territory of Puducherry under Sports Quota.
