The appellant filed an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act) before the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), SBI (Formerly State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur), Branch Krishi Mandi, Malpura, Distt. Tonk seeking information on three points pertaining to the cheque book issued to him in respect of his account no. 6100xxxxx39, including, inter-alia, (i) a copy of the application/requisition slip for issue of cheque book including, the details of the receiver of the cheque book, and (ii) a copy of the application submitted to the Branch for ‘Stop Payment’ of cheque nos. 566503 and onwards.
