Challenge in the instant petition is to the order dated 24.7.2014 in the light of which the petitioner has been reverted from the post of Multipurpose Health Supervisor (Female) to that of Multipurpose Health Worker (Female).

Learned counsel for the petitioner has been heard.

Basis for reversion of the petitioner is discernible from the impugned order itself, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner was appointed on a regular basis as Multipurpose Health Worker on 15.2.1993 and on account of belonging to a Scheduled Caste category her name in the seniority list amongst Multipurpose Health Workers was reflected at Sr. No. 224. Multipurpose Health Workers (Female) only up to Sr. No. 58 in the seniority of the Scheduled Caste category were promoted to the post of Multipurpose Health Supervisor (Female). Since the petitioner had been promoted inadvertently, accordingly, a show cause notice was issued to her and as such after affording due opportunity of hearing, the impugned order has been passed.

During the course of arguments, counsel could not rebut the factual assertion as regards position in seniority as also grant of opportunity of hearing prior to the issuance of order of reversion.

No ground for interference is made out.

Petition dismissed.
