to provide for the abolition of land revenue and additional land
revenue payable under the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887.
BE it enacted by tho Legislature cf the State of Punjab in the Forty
eighth Yoar cf the Republic of India as follo ws
1, This Act may be called the Punjab Land Revenue (Abolition)
Act, 1997.
2. (1) with effect from the Rabi Harvest of agricultural year 1996-97, the land revenue and additina] land re venue pa yable under the
provisions of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887 (Punjab Act

to provide for the abolition of land revenue and additional land revenue payable under the Punjab Land Revenuc Act, 1887.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Forty- eighth Yoar cf the Republic of India as follows :—
1. This Act may bo called the Punjab Land Revenue (Abolition) Act, 1997.
2. (I) with effect fromthe Rabi Harvest of agricultural year 1996-97, the land revenue and additional land revenue payable under the provisions of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887 (Punjab Act No. XVII of 1887) shall be deemed to have been abolished.
(2) The provisions of this Act shall have effect notwithstanding anything Contrary contained inthe Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887 (Punjab Act No. XVII of 1887).
