An Act to provide for the preservation of rzrtain animals by repllating the s!r ughter thereof.

. WH~REAS it is expedient to provide for the prcservatios

of certain animals by regulating the slaughter thereof ; .'; BE it enacted in the Ninth Year of the Republic of India

as follows :--

Short title, ex- 1. (1) This Act may be called the '[Tamil Nadu] Animal

Preservation Act, 1958.

(2) It extends to the whole of the S[State of Tamil
