No. Leg.14/2019.— The following Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana received the assent of the Governor of Haryana on the 8th March, 2019 and is hereby published for general information:-

THE HARYANA SERVICE OF ENGINEERS, GROUP A, PUBLIC HEALTH
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2019

ACT
further to amend the Haryana Service of Engineers, Group A, Public Health Engineering Department Act, 2009.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. This Act may be called the Haryana Service of Engineers, Group A, Public Health Engineering Department (Amendment) Act, 2019.
Short title.
2. For sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 1 of the Haryana Service of Engineers, Group A, Public Health Engineering Department Act, 2009 (hereinafter called the principal Act), the following sub-sections shall be substituted, namely:-
"(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 20th March, 2009.
(3) It shall apply to the persons who are members of the Service and have been appointed on or after the 20th March, 2009.".

section 1 of
Haryana Act 9 of
2009.
3. In sub-section (3) of section 5 of the principal Act, for the words, sign and figures
"1st day of November, 1966", the words, sign and figures "the 20th March, 2009" shall be substituted.

4. In sub-section (1) of section 9 of the principal Act,-
(i) in the first proviso, for the sign ":" existing at the end, the sign "." shall be substituted; and
(ii) second, third and fourth provisos shall be omitted. Amendment of

2009.
