Arunachal Pradesh is hereby published for general information.

THE ARUNACHAL PRADESH LEGISLATURE MEMBERS (PREVENTION OF DISQUALIFICATIONS) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2021
(ACT NO.7 OF 2021)

Act
further to amend the Arunachal Pradesh Legislature Members (Pravention of Disqualifications)
AcL 1977 (Act No. 4 of 1977).
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly ofArunachal Pradesh in the Seventy-Second Year of the
Republic of lndia as follows, -
1 . Short title and commencement : (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Legislature
Members (Prevention of Oisqualifications) (Amendment)Act, 2021 .
(2) lt shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1 3th October, 2020.
2. Amendment ol para 12 and 13 ofthe Schedule,-
ln the Schedule appended to section 12 of theArunachal Pradesh Legislature Members (Prevention of
Disqualif ications) Act, 1977 (Act No. 4 of 1977),-
(1 ) ln para 12, the words "or of a Parliamentary Secretary' appearing in the last part of the sentence
shall be deleted.
(2) ln para 13, for the existing entries, the following entries shall be substituted,-
"Adviso(s) to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers".
3. Repealofthe Arunachal Pradesh Parliamentary Secretaries (Appointment, Salaries, Allowances and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2007 (No. 4 of 2007).
('l ) Consequent upon the dismntinuation of the appointmentof Parliamentary Secretaries vide Govemment
Order No. ParllAff-64t2QOl 1865 dated 136 August, 20'18 which was issued in compliance of lhe Gauhati High Court order passed in PIL No.22 (AP) 2016, the Arunachal Pradesh Parliamentary
Secretaries (Appointment, Salaries, Allowances and Miscellaneous Provisions)Act, 2007 ( No. 4 of 20O7) was deemed repealed with effect from 1 3th August, 2018 is hereby formally repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, if any case(s) proceedings is pending before anyauthorities, Tribunal(s)
or Court(s) under the said Act, the same shall be proceeded under the provisions of the said Act, as
if the said Act has not been repealed.
