or corps is required to give the earliest practicable notice to the Collectors ¹of the revenue of the zilas through which the troops are to pass of the probable t ime of their arrival within such districts respectively ; togethet with information of the probable period of thei r arrival at the pa rticular places where supplies may be required, and a specification of the supplies whit,;h wi ll be wanted. ·

The Commanding Officer will likewise notifv to the Collectors the probable period of th · arrival ol the troops at the rivers or nalas in tersectinq their march, where boats or temporary !>ridges may be necessary for crossing the troops and the baggage attached to them"'"' •²

3. Fmt.-On receiving the not ifi< at ion mentioned in the Pro~edure foregoing section the Collector .. sh,dl immediately issue the of Col ~~ctor net.essary orders¹to the laHdholders, farmers, tahsildars or other on no

The Collectorr shall at the same rime depute a creditable :• 1 officer to accompany the troops throu~h his jurisdicti.Jn, for the purpose of aiding in procuring the nece~sary supplies and of facilitating the m:c-~rch of the troops.

It shall also be the duty of such *"'¹officer to provide the troops with whatever bearers, coolieJ, ⁵boatmen, carts and lml- locks may be indispensably necessary to cn..t.l,le the troops to pro- secute their route.
