A Regulation for rc-emu.:ting-, with moclifica tions, such part of tlw Rule passed on the 27th June, 1'787 , as p rohibits coveuantcd Civi l Servants of the jGovernmentY employed iu the adrninistra- tiou of justice or the colkction of the public reve- nue lending money to :tamindars, independent Talukdars or other actual proprietors of lands or dependent Talukdar.s or farmers of land holding farms immediately of Government, or the under-farmers or raiyats of the several des- criptions of proprietors and farm~:" or land abo,·•· mentioned, or their rcspecti\ c sureties. *^*^*'

I and 2 cl th1~ Ren;nlation have been declared by notification undtr the Scheduled Districts 1\ct, IR7·1 (XIV ol 11!7·1), sect iou 3, to be in force in Assam {except the N01 th Lushai llilh). The regulation is not in force in the Lushai Hills, >te notilication under Regulation II of 1680.
