(1) This Act may be called the Uttar
Pradesh Resin and Other "Forest" Produce (Regulation of Trade) Act, 1976.
(2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.
(3) (a) Chapters I and III shall be deemed to have come into force on October
4, 1975.
(b) Chapter II-
(i) shall be deemed to have come into force on October 4, 1975 in Almora,
Naini Tal, Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Garhwal, Tehri-Garhwal, Uttar Kashi,
Dehra Dun, Bareilly and Saharanpur Districts; andbr
(ii)in the remaining areas of
1[Uttar Pradesh, shall come into force on such
date as the State Government may, by notification in the Gazette] appoint
in that behalf, and different dates may be
2[appointed] in relation to
different such areas.
