Whereas it is expedient to amend the Indian Bills of Exchage Act, 14 of 1916; It is hereby encacted as follows:
1. Short title and duration. (1) This Act may be called the Indian Bills of Exchange (Amendment) Act, 1917.
(2) It shall be in force during the continuance of the present war, and for a period of six months thereafter.
In Section 2 of the Indian Bills of Exchange Act, 1916, before the word payment, wherever that word occurs in the said section, the words acceptance or shall be inserted.
